For students from Bangladesh, English studies at upper secondary (high school) level alone are not sufficient to meet the Malmö University general language entry requirement. Thus, you must demonstrate your eligibility through certain university studies, or an internationally approved English test. We recommend having the IELTS because it provides you with the opportunity to apply for the highest number of institutions not only in Sweden but also in many other countries.

General English proficiency requirements are satisfied if you have one of the following:

IELTS: 6.0
• formal university transcript or degree certificate for your Bachelor’s degree (equivalent to a Swedish kandidatexamen) where it is clearly stated that the language of instruction for the programme was English.
• a Bachelor’s degree (equivalent to a Swedish kandidatexamen) from a university where English is the only language of instruction. The university must be listed as only providing instruction in English in the edition of the International Handbook of Universities or the World Directory of Medical Schools that was current the year the degree was awarded.
• completed 1-year degree at the master’s level or higher from a university where English is the only language of instruction. The university must be listed as only providing instruction in English in the edition of the International Handbook of Universities that was current the year the degree was awarded.
